Getting back on topic of the forum, my unpopular opinion could seem a bit controversial. I personally think some games in the speedrunning community are overrated! Some examples Super Mario 64, Minecraft, Portal. I personally think other games in the speedrunning community deserve more attention.
Game request rules and standards have loosened way too much.
SM64 players are definitely the most arrogant Lol. Somehow it's the most difficult because it's the most popular?
Okay here's an unpopular opinion. The idea that 3D games are more difficult to run by default is ridiculous.
@Lameshark that isn't entirely wrong, but I feel like certain games like Super Mario Odyssey and Breath of The Wild are definitely difficult to run. It requires a lot of practice and repetition. So I guess it really just depends on the 3D game.

@CyanWes thats true. And popular games do become more optimized. Also, I'm not saying I could do a 120 star run of SM64. It's very impressive just to be clear. But, there are also 1980s sega arcade games where you die if the enemy hits you once and theres tons of Rng etc. etc.
