I’m not sure how to make a timer appear on the side like other speed runners, I’m not always sure how long my run is. I just submit it and hope it’s shorter than my last one.

I would read the pinned thread in this very forum to learn about setting up a proper speedrun setup. I would highly advise against submitting runs until you can properly time them and have a proper setup - just submitting runs like that might cause the mods to assume you're spamming runs if they aren't actually PBs.
