Nice to finally join the community! I'm an old German video gamer and I love watching speedrunners for many years. The genre is not so important but I like streams the most, when there is a lot of explanation going on. I never tried it myself tho. Its a bit intimidating, seeing how perfected the runs of my old time favorites are..
Recently there was a new Indie release on Steam that I really like: Drug Deal Simulator. Its quite unfinished at the time, but I love the idea of rushing the game and finding ways to be even faster than before. I even tried to optimize the early game and hope it will be playable till the end soon.
So anyways, nice to meet you all =)
Welcome, nice to meet you too! I know from experience that watching good runners can intimidate you and stop you from tryingt the runs yourself. But the top runners put hundreds sometimes thousands of hours in to get that good. I didn't try longer speedruns of Untitled Goose Game for example because I thought I'll never be near as good as the top runners, but with practice you can get better and I think that's what matters most, right?
Yeah. you are right @Laika. Getting PBs and slowly climbing the Ladder. Step by step it doesn't seem so bad =)
