Memorys of summers spent camping with my cousins, and fishing, summer trips to British Columbia and Sushwap lake.

Must have been the late 90s I dident know what speed running was. But I would always hog the Nintendo so my mom got mad and said we had to share. Everyone took 10 min turns. She set an egg timer. When it got to my older cousins turn. He ripped thru super Mario Bros in proabably about 8 min then gave the controller to my younger brother and said you can have my last 2 min.

He also played some Metroid in front of me and was doing some absolutely whack stuff that I had no idea how he was doing it. Some kind of jumping while in ball mode it something and some other glitches.

Whenever I asked him how he was doing those things he would just laugh at me and never told me.

So I guess my goal is to get on one of the first pages of a metroid speed run. Just to have my name up there. Playing it has some kind of connection to my memorys somehow so I guess nostalgia.
