Wanted to speedrun CoCHS so I recorded all the skips I found in case anybody else wanted to speedrun

How to get Speedrunner role for newbs.

If you are in the JToH discord, you can get a orange role called the speedrunner role if you are in the Top 2 for any tower with 5+ runs on Glitchless (proven that you know what to do) Here is what you need to do.

1. Find a tower that has alot of room for improvement in its #1 spot or a tower that has easy skips.

2. Run the tower and try to get Top 2. This can take a long time!

3. Submit the run with VIDEO EVIDENCE and wait for the moderators to approve it. (Make sure to follow ALL OF THE RULES, including the Shift+F5 rule.)

4. Once your run is approved, go to #support and open a ticket.

5. Send a link to your speedrun and you should get the speedrunner role!

How to make verifying runs easier and quicker for the moderators.

1. Try to get a convenient angle of you hitting the winpad, in order for us to be able to see the exact frame which you hit the winpad. Say for example, you were speedrunning ToAST, looking straight up would make it really hard for us to be able to figure out the exact frame. But if you were looking down, nothing would be blocking us from being able to see the exact frame where you hit the winpad.
2. Make sure to add an extra "0" to the end of your milliseconds timer, so it's correctly formatted. This is a smaller thing, but it makes a difference to the amount of time it takes to verify runs.
3. Make sure to fill in the "In-game time" category, preferrably only the in-game time category. The leaderboards are based on in-game time, so if you submit it with only real time, your run will automatically be placed on the bottom of the leaderboards.

How to Speedrun Ring 1 Towers (Glitches)

This is the second time I'm doing this because I accidentally went to the level leaderboards... and I just finished doing CoLS. Sucks to be me. This guide will cover some overall tips to do in any Roblox speedrun and what to do in each individual tower. This will be a LONG guide, so skip to the tower you want to do.

Overall Tips:
ALWAYS ladder flick: It's free time save why wouldn't you?

ALWAYS corner cut: More free time save.

DON'T fear killbricks: Either just be good, or find a server with KB lag.

DON'T fear tightropes: Never first person (unless they're really small). Just YOLO them.

Be CONSISTENT at glitches: Wallhops, corner clips, ladder flicks (again), learn them all. You'll need it.

With that out of the way: Let's get into the towers themselves:
I'll be using the WR Glitches run (Glitchless if there isn't one) as reference. Open the run in another tab and follow along.

Jump on one of the killbricks and onto the sides: 1:58 (doesn't really save time)
Wallhop on the frame instead of going to the ladder: 2:22
Wallhop on the frame and onto the platform above to skip a couple jumps: 2:24
Take tightrope instead of memorization paths: 3:21
Go to the side of the trusses and climb up instead of walking around: 3:32
Wallhop on the truss: 3:36

If you don't make it to the spinner on 0:14 on the in-game timer, restart.
Jump to the side of the truss and jump off when you're near the end: 1:08

I would talk about NEAT here, but that's it's own other thing, so I'll talk about it at the end of the guide.
After being teleported by NEAT, face the frame and do a lag laugh clip. Hope and pray that you make it to the other side: 2:18

Face the wall that's transparent. Go to the bottom left path relative to it as it's the fastest: 0:08

Fastest path on the tightropes (according to Purple_BaconHair)
On the first set of tightropes go on the right one.
On the next split path go left.
On the platform with 4 connecting tightropes (one of which you were on before), turn around and go onto the left-most one.
On the split path right after, take the left tightrope.
On the dead end, jump to the platform below and go left.
On the next split path, take the right tightrope.
When the tightropes cross, jump onto the other tightrope.

To not get stuck in-between the pyramid, shift-lock and face sideways relative to it: 0:17
After landing on the wobbly platform, turn around and go backwards. The other side should be high enough for you to do a head hitter onto the platform above: 0:34

You know that intro where he fell trying to get onto the spinner? To prevent that, climb onto the wall and hold W until you're on it: 4:52
Go towards the inside where there's nothing instead of trying to weave around some killbricks: 4:52
Jump onto the killbrick and to the truss above: 5:51
When you get inside the big killbrick maze, face the right and do a lag laugh clip: 6:50
(Not done in run) Find a server with severe KB lag and tank the killbrick truss LIKE A MAN: (Would be) 7:08

Floor 8 is where you really wanna use that 3rd rule, because you'll need to be fast (or lucky).
More high jumps: 3:17 and 3:18

Citadel of Laptop Splitting (CoLS): Use x-pusher momentum to propel yourself to the platform next to the wall: 0:38
Only go for red, yellow (or replace both with orange), green, lightest blue, 3rd lightest blue, and pink buttons.

Wallhop on the white walls to compensate for not getting the purple button: 4:42

(No Basement Skip only) Take hidden path because it's also faster: 8:59
Jump off the zipline and hit the button. Then jump on top of it and wait for the timer to reach 0, when it does, jump forward and you should land on the platform above: 11:08
(Not done in run) Jump off the zipline and onto a platform above: (Would be) 15:02
(Not done in run and risky) Lag laugh clip into the box instead of going around: (Would be) 18:09
When taking the balloon, go to the side of the tower, and go through the hole that leads to Side B of the dark blue floor: 22:09
(Recommended with KB lag) Go on top of the killbrick floor and do a high jump to get over the ledge. Then go to the nearest platform: 22:28
(Not done in run) Lag laugh clip into the corridor and onto the conveyors: (Would be) 25:16
(Not done in run and would never recommend EVER) Instead of going to the balloon, do a corner clip on the wall to the left straight to the winpad: (Would be) 28:00

Only go for first (and second if you really want to) button(s).
Go to the side of the truss, land on the x-pusher and do a head hitter: 0:17
(Not done in run) Do a lag laugh clip onto the 2nd floor inside: (Would be) 0:44
(Not done in run) Land on top of the walls instead of lodging between the two walls: (Would be) 2:11
I'm too lazy to put the shortcuts from the tower crossings so just look back KJSDHFLAKJDH.
When you get teleported to the lobby, go towards the sign and keep going until you're at where the portals would be. Then try to hit the ToSP portal by doing /e dance2: 3:17
Do a head hitter and wallhop onto the next floor: 5:18
High jump onto the corner clip to save literally one jump: 6:28
After the half studs with jump boost, jump onto the ladder and to the left, then proceed to do whatever Purple_BaconHair does I guess: 10:15
Remember where to go in the dumb floor 10 maze. Just look it up lmao. I'm too lazy to put it here: 13:40

Do a wallhop on the only intended place, land on top of the wall, and wallhop to the left until you reach the platform: 0:03
Do some cool boi corner cuts and do some wallhops on the frame: 0:05

Now that Roblox has added the option to change your FPS cap in the settings, speedrunning up to 240 FPS is now Allowed. Yippee !



To Be Clear: Memory writing below 60 FPS for things like lag clips is still not allowed cause that takes external software
