I don’t know how to apply the in game timer, also moderator, I’m not sure why you can’t simply time it yourselves (no hate)
On the level select screen, click the timer button in the bottom left corner. The reason you have to use in game time is because the in game timer might not be entirely accurate compared to “real life” time. But it will always be accurate within the game. It is also easier to verify times or to check your time while doing the run if you use the in game timer. It is not an issue of laziness of not wanting to time it yourself, but to ensure accurate time measurements. Hopefully I explained that well, kinda wordy in my opinion...
Also you have to beat level 40 to unlock timer mode just in case you havent yet
well shoot, if you do indeed need to beat level 40 first that's upsetting, the timer was implemented well after most of us had done so, thus I had no idea that that is an issue. The reason I prefer the in game timer, is that someone could potentially speed up the video such that timing their sped up recording is timed to be a new record, but an in game timer cannot be manipulated as easily.
ooooh sorry retro I just started playing this game a couple days ago but I will beat lvl 40 in 2 or 3 days
