Mod note: This run was performed on Super Game Boy (SGB1). Since the SGB1 does not use the clock speed of an original game boy (~59,73 Hz), but rather the faster clock rate of the SNES it's being plugged into (~61,17 Hz), it runs approx. 2,4% faster, providing a natural time advantage among original GB hardware. To equalize this, the GB speedrun community has universally agreed to apply a time conversion to SGB1 runs, using this tool:
