1 Star Speedrun Guide

The current main speedrun for this game is to get the first star as fast as possible, it takes about 2 hours to complete.

Because each day in this game is essentially an Autoscroller, your main timesaves come from menuing and reducing time spent working past closing.

The 1 Star Checklist is the following:

1. Complete 20 Days of Service
2. Get 12x perfect combo on 3 separate days
3. Buy 6 Standard Foods
4. Make $100 in Tips
5. Pass a safety inspection
6. Serve 4 Foods in a single day
7. Have at least 10% positive buzz from customers.

3 of these can be completed pretty much on the first day, the only one that takes time is the 20 Days of Service.

Something to note is that Menu Rot is not at all a concern for us in this run, in fact if anything it's a benefit to us: the lower our Buzz is, the less likely it is for us to get customers past closing time. Because of this we want to use foods that are quick to do *and* have a negative effect on our Buzz.

With that out of the way, here's the strat:

Day 0:

This is a tutorial, you can press ESCAPE and then select to Skip the gameplay tutorial. Then click through the text tutorial.

Day 1:

Go to View/Buy Foods, buy Corn Dog, Pretzel, Cold Beer, Soda Station, Salad and Ice-Cream. This will fulfil the 3rd item on the 1 Star Checklist. Then go to your Active Menu and add any 4 foods you want except for Soda Station. The reason you don't want Soda Station is because customers will never tip with it, but also if you get an order with it after closing, you HAVE to complete the order. With every other food we have it is possible to just press Enter to give the customer an empty order.

I recommend the following foods for your active menu: Corn Dog, Pretzel, Cold Beer and Salad. The benefit of Cold Beer is that it gives a -5% Buzz. Cold Beer and Salad are the only items on our menu that the customers will give tip for, but given that we have 19 Days to make $100 we should have plenty of time. We only need 50 customers to give a tip to pass (for reference, in my 2:04:47 run i had 413 Salad Orders and 385 Cold Beer orders).

When it comes to actually completing each Day in the run, just play the game as you would normally. If you get a customer just before 10pm, when you bring up their order just spam Enter to give it to them immediately so that they leave quicker.

Day 2:

Before starting Day 2, go to Equipment and purchase the Tip Trays/Jar. Keep the same 4 foods throughout the rest of the run as it wastes time to change/remove any of them.

Day 3+:  From this point onwards the run is basically complete but we have to still play for the full 2 hours. Just keep playing normally and remember to get rid of customers before 10pm. Health Inspections aren't a concern for us at all as they're very easy.

Make sure you're also getting 12x perfect combo in at least 3 of the days, this is easy to do but don't forget about it.

After 20 days and $100 of tips later the run is complete, good job!
