is it okay if i do level 6 first because for me that is the hardest so having that last would really suck. It does not save time in any way because you still do all the levels just in a different order

You do the levels in order just like starting a new game. You can do the levels after unlocking them since it is the same timing as New Game. This isn't NG+, so you cannot run them out of order.
