Easy (works on most maps) speedrunning guide Mid-2024

To start off, you want most/all monkey knowledge, a tech bot, and ben.

You will place the free dart at the start and 3 snipers.

Start the game and work towards the 4th sniper.

Once you get the sniper, save up to ben.

After ben, you will get 2 more snipers and get 100 on your discounted sniper.

After this, get a 020 druid and sell 3 snipers (not the discounted one though) once you have reached 300 cash.

Get a 030 druid and upgrade your 100 sniper to 102.

Wait until 2000 cash and sell the druid and the 2 snipers for a 203 sniper.

Get a 010 sniper for camo, and keep it.

Get another 030 druid and upgrade your dart to 020.

Sell the druid for a 204 sniper once you have 2200 cash.

Upgrade the camo sniper to 023.

Sell the camo sniper at 37 and get 4+ 110 snipers.

Sell those 110 snipers and get a 040 bomb at the start of the track and a techbot on the  bomb.

How To: Install In-Game Timer Mod

This is a short tutorial on how to install the in game timer mod for running btd6 at the world record level



Why Use In-Game Timer (IGT) Mod?

1. Eliminates hardware differences. If you have a bad computer, this mod will remove your game slowing down due to lag.

2. Eliminates pauses. There's been a bug in btd6 ever since version 34 or so that will randomly pause the game for a frame or two after each round even if auto start is on. This will add ~0.250 to your time over a standard easy mode speedrun and even more on longer difficulties.

3. Makes btd6 src mod's jobs easier. We just have to look in the top right corner lol. No need for us to frame count to verify your runs.



How to install?

1. Download dotnet:[ https://dotnet.microsoft.com/en-us/download/dotnet/thank-you/runtime-6.0.12-windows-x64-installer]( https://dotnet.microsoft.com/en-us/download/dotnet/thank-you/runtime-6.0.12-windows-x64-installer) and run the installer

2. Download Melon Loader: [https://github.com/LavaGang/MelonLoader/releases/download/v0.6.1/MelonLoader.x64.zip](https://github.com/LavaGang/MelonLoader/releases/download/v0.6.1/MelonLoader.x64.zip) (note: this link will auto download the file when you click it)

3. Copy all the files from the downloaded folder.

4. In your file directory, go to: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Bloons TD6

5. Past all the files into this folder

6. Right click -> create new folder -> name this folder Mods

7. Download the timer mod from https://www.speedrun.com/btd6/resources

8. Copy it and paste it inside the Mods folder

9. Launch game

10. ???

11. Profit

Intermediate Impoppable Route - Aiming for a sub-14

Hey all, here is a quick example run I did as a simplified Impoppable route with minimal ability timing. The time was a 13:55.383, and I lost two seconds which you won't necessarily lose on round 14 in this run. That gives you a seven-second window for timeloss where you can still get a sub-14!
