Had issues with lag in the past (game would run at 54 fps and drop down to 30 fps during loads) figured out that it can be fixed by disabling G-Sync in the Nvidia control panel. Once G-Sync is disabled the game runs at a steady 60 fps, even during loads. Not sure if this works for AMD cards with free sync but I'm guessing that it would.

Just thought I would share in case others were having the same problem.
