25 seconds of unskippable title sequence after every reset
-
two sorts of jumps, need to hold the direction like forever before you actually jump to go for distance when you get berries, they fall from the sky and can hurt you, but only sometimes
-
walking is way too slow
-
running is way too fast
-
crawling is faster than walking
-
jumping multiple times makes you jump higher
there is never any indication of when the levels are going to end
bees move really randomly and it's pretty impossible to predict how they'll move
in level 2: there is no real good cue for when to jump off dim when he's charging tuck and roll are impossible to time consistently, which makes for a lot of time loss which cannot be controlled they coded these grasshoppers in specially so that you can't damage boost through them because this is a fun gimmick it's possible to skip both of them, but it's luck dependent, so it's not really worth it to try skipping one of them is very doable, but it's also a somewhat precise trick, which wastes like 20 seconds if you don't get it first try Heimlich is the slowest guy ever rosie section is somewhat interesting, but the sections with 3 webs mean you can't jump right away, you need to wait until rosie is completely offscreen
in level 3: pretty hard level it never happened on console, but when I was running on emulator, the lilypads would get desynced making it impossible or at least really hard to get past
in level 4: there's one jump that has a 2 pixel window, and another that is really precise, both required misleading platforms that are actually impossible that only serve to waste time
in level 6: it's a really long autoscroller with nothing happening in it
in level 7: really awkward upward platforming made worse by the fact that you need to jump multiple times many times
in level 8: I thought final bosses were supposed to be hard or something??
