The other reason the character subcategory split doesn't make sense is because it's possible to switch characters between missions, and there are many cases where this would be faster. Even in shorter categories like just one chapter - Gaea Armor X and Shadow Armor X would be fastest on some maps in chapter 14 for example. Preventing this with character subcategories is just taking a mechanic out of the game for no reason.

For that it is easy to create a category without character restrictions. In which you can use any character and change when you want to change.

Sure, but I don't understand why that isn't just assumed. There is no need to separate the board by character. There are ~130 of them. It's just silly. It makes way too many boards which makes the leaderboard hard to navigate.

Let's see, first of all, I never said that I was going to add a subcategory of weapons in 2 categories. What I said was that I am going to add an NG+ category without restrictions on characters and weapons. You just say that I am going to add all the weapons in all the different categories.

Nighlin seems to be arguing the same thing. The guy who commented yesterday also said having character split made no sense.

I think that might be getting lost in translation. "This leaderboard organization is hilarious" = he is saying it is a joke the way the leaderboard is organized.

I know of games that can have more categories but people like you don't add them because they start screwing around because you don't like adding categories that you don't run.

The truth is they are the same as those who don't want to include the glitchless category because they don't like running without glitches. I personally dont appreciate being lumped into asking for this because I am Arts friend. I stated what I stated because I have been a mod for a long time and we manage a lot of boards and marathons. I personally do run this game and this wasnt him calling me over or something. I came because I run this game and noticed the board was very weird looking and I couldnt even find the run the board said was there. (It happened to be because SRC shows runs for non verified runs) Everything I posted and asked for was independent of some perceived friendship that you assume we have.

Second I stated that having a community vote would make the most sense, if you have people who watch your streams that will come in to vote on the category staying then that makes sense. I just dont agree with making a large amount of categories and not voting for it to stay a thing or not when their is community divide. In regards to mods not acting in the communities interest that definitely happens but thats a violation of rules and for example this got brought up in "Naruto Storm 4" and the super mod there was removed and replaced. I am a mod of a lot of anime games and we run a lot of events worldwide for charity and I work with a lot of mods daily and this stuff comes up a lot and we try to work with those mods for the benefit of communities all over. I have nothing against you or anything personally I just think fixing the rules and adding or removing the categories that runners want is good for the community of the game. I can submit some runs if you want but at the time I was going to submit them it wasnt a possible category to submit (I ran Max level Characters and used glitches).

TLDR: We can run a poll and ask the community what they want done. Nothing I did was out of my perceived friendship its all for the community of this game. Multiple people contacted me about it.

And I do not care about moderating for this game. I said before - I only asked for it because I always do when I ask for changes, to reduce the work of making those changes. I just want the way the board is set up to be sensible for runners.

Haha, this forum is insane. If you all want to have this many absurd amounts of character categories and level categories, we could at least compromise for a "normal" category with a "multiple / any character" category as well? Something like that? If we want to have this many absurd amounts of categories (which yes, to confirm on something earlier, I will be as soon as I have the time and levels, etc, for every character to be maxed and all of that I will be obnoxious and submitting hundreds of runs to every level category, and again, would like to apologize in advance for that...) ...can we at least have one more category that would be sort of the main category; It'd be similar to how the Final Fantasy XIV levels leaderboard does it, which has a very similar absurd amount of categories for every level (6 for every dungeon, trial, raid, etc in that game). I think that leaderboard is a great one to base this game off of in format with what seems like what it wants to be done, in my opinion.
