# Biome Diversity

Biome diversity stars are calculated as follows:

- 1 star for 5 or more loddles in the biome (includes baby loddles, eggs, and cocoons)
- 1 star for 3 or more different adult loddle evolutions in the biome
- 1 star for all 3 loddle ability types in the biome (cleaning, pollinating, and energizing)

# Pollution Resistance

Pollution resistance is calculated from a combination of the plants in the biome plus the number of purifying loddles in the biome, all multiplied by the current pollution state of the biome. Pollution resistance percentages that each plant adds are listed below.

## Pre-Existing Plants

Resistance percentages added from plants that are already part of the biome.

- Coral Pear: 1%
- Tubey Coral: 1%
- Lily banana: 2%
- Lotus Kiwi: 2%
- Kelp Heart: 2%
- Star Kelp: 2%
- Rainbow Star Kelp: 2%
- Pearl berries: 1%
- Passion Fig: 1%
- Crystal Crisp: 2%
- Giant Tubey Coral (Ripple Reef): 5%

## Garden/Seedling Plants

Resistance percentages added from plants that are manually planted from seedlings.

- Coral Pear: 2%
- Tubey Coral: 2%
- Lily Banana: 4%
- Lotus Kiwi: 4%
- Kelp Heart: 4%
- Star Kelp: 4%
- Rainbow Star Kelp: 4%
- Pearl Berries: 2%

## Purifying Loddles

Each purifying loddle adds 5% to the biome pollution resistance.

## Base Biome Pollution Resistances

Each biome when 100% clean will have the following pollution resistances due to the pre-existing plants in the biome:

- Ripple Reef: 64%
- Flotsam Flats: 73%
- Tangle Bay: 76%
- Grimy Gulf: 30%
- Guppi Campus: 37%
- Goddle Grotto: 53%
    - The purifying goddle adds an extra 5% for a 58% total base resistance

Crate & Trash Bag Litter Spawn Pools (v1.2.2)

Here is a list of the kinds and amounts of litter that spawn when breaking a crate or a trash bag. Litter spawning is semi-random and works in the following way:

Each type of chunk (crate/trash bag) has an attached litter spawn pool, which are further broken down into sub-pools with individual chances attached. When a chunk is broken, the game goes through each sub-pool, rolls an RNG check to see if that sub-pool should be selected, and then if it is selected, selects a single item from the sub-pool to spawn, with an equal chance to select each item. For example, if a sub-pool has a 50% chance and contains [Metal Bolt, Metal Bolt, Scrap Metal], the game first rolls a 50% check and if it passes, selects a single item from the list. Since Metal Bolt is listed twice, it has a 2/3 chance of being selected after the 50% check, so it has an overall spawn chance of 1/2 * 2/3 = 1/3. To make things a little more complicated, the same sub-pool can appear multiple times in a chunk spawn pool, meaning that sub-pool gets rolled multiple times.

How to install the demo after purchasing the full game

For some reason, if the demo version of a game isn't in your library and you have the full version of that game, Steam won't let you download the demo from the store page. There is a workaround for this but it involves a couple of commands on the command line. This guide is for Windows but it should be a similar process for Mac & Linux (Steam Deck).

1. Open a command line: use cmd.exe or Powershell
2. Run the following command (you can probably copy-paste it):
`"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steam.exe" steam://open/console`You may need to adjust the location of steam.exe if it is installed on a different drive or location. This command will open a special window in Steam where you can give Steam commands.
3. In the Steam command line, run the following command:
`app_install 2222000`Steam should automatically download and install the Loddlenaut demo.

That's it! The "Console" tab in Steam will go away the next time Steam is fully closed and re-opened.
