Wheel Glitch – Early Floor Advancement

This glitch allows the player to access the second (and beyond) floors of the building early. At the time of writing (Jul. 4, 2015) I haven't tested it enough to identify whether it actually shaves any time off, but regardless I think it's interesting to know.

In order to perform this glitch, you must board the hamster wheel, get up to full speed, and then use the Quit button to return to the main menu. When you then start a new game, there will be several odd occurrences:

¤ The elephant will be flying wildly in circles
¤ You will start with about 25 coins already, and your coin balance will naturally increase over time
¤ You will start with whichever hamster-wheel achievement you unlocked most recently

The reason for the elephant's flying around seems to be because the game believes you are still on the hamster wheel, but has misunderstood the size and location of the wheel. If performed correctly, this flying will take you partially through the second floor of the building, and if "jump" out of the flight during this time, you will land on the second floor without ever unlocking it. (If performed incorrectly, you will land in one of the following areas: Floor 1, above the ceiling of Home, or below the screen entirely). Note that sometimes, a variety of blocks in Floor 2 will fail to render and be invisible; if you take the teleporter to Floor 5 and then return, this error will resolve itself and Floor 2 will look normal.

In order to return to Floor 1 and continue the game as normal, go to the far left of Floor 2 into the downward tunnel. The screen should then shift down to Floor 1, although you will not be visible on the screen. By panicking at this location, you will respawn at the Floor 1 checkpoint, and can then continue your game normally.

You can access the rest of the floors as follows: use the teleporter in Floor 2 to reach Floor 5, and then panic, placing you on the Floor 5 checkpoint. You can then access Floors 3 and 4 through the same method as was used to return to Floor 1.

The main advantages of the glitch are as follows:
¤ One of the hamster-wheel achievements is skippable (however, unless "Five!" is the achievement in question, no time will be saved)
¤ The additional coins you get through this achievement (both through early level access and natural coin accrual) will allow you to unlock all areas in a single trip to the shop

HOWEVER, it's possible that the Navigationer achievement becomes impossible to attain if the glitch is used; I haven't tested this specifically, but in a trial run that used the glitch, I failed to get Navigationer when I otherwise should have.
