Complete all zones. You must collect every chaos emerald and achieve the true ending.
Bloxtun has updated to R15, and that's bad because we cannot make some of the jumps we have been able to before, we can't go back to R6, and some of the stage layouts have been changed. There should be no more runs in either but rather add a category called R15 550 to keep it all fair. Curse you Bloxtun!
Scotty suggested for me to get OBS Studio. My computer doesn't have the correct software to view anything I previously recorded, but will I be able to view it when it goes on my YouTube?
Zorarkfilms is a runner of this game who has attempted dozens of categories, yet no evidence has surfaced of his runs, just like mine, so we cannot see his strategies. I have seen a 13 for Yoshi, but can it be done with Luigi too? (The 13 Yoshi was TAS.) I'm not sure if the strategy is the same.
My run has been stuck in my Pending Actions page for several days and I'm concerned about the time it takes for these runs to be verified.
So my runs were looked at frame by frame and then given a time, and therefore missed out on some world records. However, many of these world records are inaccurate in some form or another. I've done a post on the nine world records that were mistimed and not corrected. https://plus.google.com/110544657785116636986/posts/DKr4z3TRqH5 This is not fair, purely because my time is genuine, and these times are incorrect, yet we're not given the time and effort to be re-timed. These world records could be potentially impossible to beat if not fixed due to the mistiming. So, over any period of time, fix every single submitted run to the exact time it got using frame by frame, to keep it fair. In a way, I'm the Steve Wiebe and Albert is the Billy Mitchell. Overall, this should be put into execution, otherwise it's just unfair for those who wish to beat it.
So it's become apparent that moderation is becoming slower. With Corvo being inactive and Redninja seemingly not verifying runs right now, we're relying on Soulcloset with our entries. Which can be a problem since I have seen times when Soulcloset was off for over a day, and as a result I'm getting somewhat agitated, because I'm pretty impatient. So may be other runners, and I've been told it needs to change. Some of my friends who run this game have suggested I become a moderator for the game, because of my numerous records, experience with the game and being very knowledgeable in the topic. I'm not saying "GIMME MOD OR DIE!", I'm explaining that I want to be there to accept runs from others. I'm on almost the entire day and hate to see some people complain their runs have not been verified not rejected. Soulcloset may very well be busy, and if that is the case, I volunteer to be a moderator in Speed Run 4. I'll be content whether you accept or decline with legitimate reasoning. Thank you for reviewing this post, and feel free to express your opinion down below.

This post has no use whatsoever aside from telling you that myself, Vemix and Albert007 are the contenders in an active battle of the ILs! Soulcloset, be prepared to verify more records than ever before!
I watched J_duude's run and aside from the missed Bowser throw, which wasted about 10 seconds, it was well executed. I don't think that kind of play can be beaten by 21 seconds. So... Has Ben used a different route? I'd like to hear what knowledge he can bring forth to improve the category.
So today I was attempting to copy Serpireo's skip in Level 27. After several attempts I instead took an interest in the physics behind the game. An upwards slope can send you a fair distance upwards, and can be copied with something like an ice cream, where a larger jump is possible. I found a strategy I was happy with, and after 400 attempts, with only three even reaching the island, I succeeded in inventing a new skip. This is certainly the most impossible skip in the game and quite possibly in gaming history. It's RNG and skill based, and the chances of getting it? Slimmer than paper. Here's a clip of my first successful run of not only getting onto the island, but landing on the cane arch and beating the stage. https://plus.google.com/110544657785116636986/posts/gBpbsrZ9UV7
Some of Serpireo's times are extremely fast, like his Level 3 Time. However I have found instead of using a timer that goes to .99, it only goes to .29. So he has an advantage over others who don't use that timer. His record in Level 3 is 21.17, and mine is 21.49, even skipping a platform. I changed his run to a normal timer and it's 21.56. This confirms his runs may need to be reclassified as his run was not really 21.17, but 21.56. Please can you multiply each run you did with that timer by 3.3 recurring so we can get an accurate time to make it fair. Thank you.
I recently submitted a run that got verified not long after (a good change to SM64DS) but it was rejected due to lack of IGT. I am not aware of how to post my picture of it, as shown in my description. Could someone please give me a brief summary of how to post my IGT?
When I do something like BOB 100%, do I have to also get the 100 coin as well as all the other stars?
Hello everyone. For those few of you who still run SM64DS, you may have noticed how long it takes for run verification. Since Aether is no longer a mod, full game runs are only getting verified by Mr Shasta, who is busy enough with being a mod in around 30 other games, and the level runs only being verified by Mr Shasta too. Greenalink and ParadoxKarl don't seem to be verifying much anymore, TheWayFaringFox has not been on for a solid month and Mr Shasta has other games to moderate, some more popular than this one. With that in mind, I checked and no mod has been on for at least two days, whereas users like myself are on several times daily. With that, I nominate myself, Really Tall and the illuminati to become moderators of the game. I do not mind whether it's one of us or all of us that get to be a moderator, but we need an active moderator for this game as people like myself, Really Tall and Sharkey91 are running this game frequently and we need a trusted moderator to get it done, as some of my runs have waited up to two weeks for verification, and the worst thing about it is that when people like Mr Shasta go online, they don't always come into here like me. So either me, Really Tall or the illuminati should become moderator, or preferably all three. Since we're still running this, with myself doing more runs recently, we do need a moderator to accept these runs, with my recommendation going to Really Tall, who checks the TAS runs to make sure the run can be legitimate, and is extremely active. Thanks for reviewing my post and I hope that a new, active moderator comes to SM64DS and makes sure our runs can be verified and keep ourselves going.
