I think it´s because the text in japanese is faster than in the american version, so u save time. :D

AFAIK GL/ magnum tool only works for CHN/TWN apart from the one from if you were to use a rebirth patch, however if your referring to console runs they are simply the hard/easy category you will find alongside the other console runs (heavy/light)

theres no other reason than the text being faster for CH/TW
