He said he couldn't delete it because as far is he knows there is no way to do so, then said to just ignore it.
Real Time is the "default" that every game starts off with, and any other time (like In-game for GOI or loadless for other games) is an additional timing method you can add. Unfortunatelly, since Real time is the default you're not allowed to delete it since, I guess that's how the site was coded. Kind of a bummer since it's confusing to have two time inputs on the submission, yet having only real time would make it unclear as to which time to enter - one from an external timer or the one from the game.
there's an option to hide empty columms but that would mean we would need to go through every run that has real time and remove it from it
If you go to “submit run” in SH3, it asks for both in game time and real time. It doesn’t seem like there’s a way to remove it from the submissions.
there are 286 people to edit in both categories. it would probably take like 2 hours. you guys should look after things like this. if none of the mods want to do it then may i please be given the wooden sword so i can fix the broads
I don't want to sound like I'm suggesting to switch to real-time, or that there's the slightest chance for the community to abandon IGT, but perhaps it is more considerate to keep the column if it would take so much effort to undo the removal? The first time I was submitting, I assumed real-time meant to time a given run until the frame of the "welcome" screen, and it would appear there's a minority of runs with longer real-time that the moderation has kept in. Given that there have been so many cases in speedrunning where the in-game timer was proven to not be infallible, wouldn't it be within reason to let people submit real-time should they want to? - Just a thought.
