RTA/RT (Real Time Attack or Race Time): Starts when the 1st level of the category is selected and ends when goal of the last level is reached.
IGT (In Game Time): This timing is calculated by adding the times in the top left corner of the game at the end of each level. This is the unitarium time calculator, good for figuring out in game time: http://www.unitarium.com/time-calculator .
