How is CFG broken in this game exactly? I'm not a pro runner at all but i have only found 2 uses for it. One before the long elevator in chapter 2 and one to skip the 3rd button in final boss
It's not that it's "broken", as much as it's very heavily used; the current route preserves it from the end of ch2 all the way to ch6, and there is a not unwarranted concern that it might detract from the variety portal 2 speedrunning is kinda known for
Ohh. I see. I tried to use the glitch to fly into the loading zone above. I didn't think of the fact you can just take the elevator still and use the glitch for the other stages xD.
Yeah that becomes kinda saddening then if most if not all stages end up with CFG. So i get the argument.
I assume there won't be a rule for just not preserving CFG through levels either? I guess it would be similar to a no CFG category. Well i am excited to see what the rules become and i am exited to try speedrunning portal again with the new mod :D. Wish the moderators and the community best of luck in finding something that works <3
