Iowa, USAI know the game officially came out yesterday and obviously folks need to play through it then do routing and stuff. Is there a community place where folks are gathering to share information yet? Just checking
Hey Cmdr, sorry for not responding sooner; I don't log onto src that much anymore. I'm fine adding IL's if there are runs of them. I don't like to clutter leaderboards up with a bunch of empty categories/ILs though, so if there are runs of them, lets get them added.

Bad news everyone, I'm going to have to cancel the onsite portion of this marathon. Unexpected family issues (relating to my grandmother) have arisen and I thought there were going to be taken care of the weekend before (the 9th and 10th) but it doesn’t look like that will be happening. I will unfortunately be busy both weekends (9th and 10th as well as 16th and 17th).
The good news is only two folks have stated they were going to be onsite runners besides myself, so it will be very easy for the MWSF staff to transition this into and online only marathon. I'll let the rest of MWSF staff handle this and step down myself.

When we made the name for MidFall back in 2017, we could really only think of SpeedBall. Probably something better out there, but the goofy names stick to us and help us stand out.
Midfall SpeedBall is an online only marathon hosted by MidWest SpeedFest on November 15-17th. We will be fundraising for St.Jude's Children's Hospitals.
The times for running will be finalized in later.
Submissions are now open and will remain open until October 27th, 2019 11:59pm CT. The schedule will be revealed and released for the public on November 2nd, 2019 at the latest.

Answering on behalf of Gooby since I help organize our marathons. The marathon is confirmed to be taking place at the dates listed. We are confirmed to be apart of VGMcon like we were last year. What more info do you need?
I did this just by falling through one of the gaps in the floor. Then i just walked back up until I was inside the right dragon that wraps around the tower.
The Midwest Speedfest Discord picked this game up since it had no speedrun presence and decided to route it and do a few runs and see where we could end up. Join our discord and join the community routing channel to see what we have found and add anything you'd like.
I'm already in the Elder Scrolls speedrunning discord. I don't know if you have joined or what your username is there but mine is the same as this site, go ahead and ping me sometime or send me a private message, whatever you'd like friend. I took a break from this but I still have all my notes and still have an interest in finishing my route and trying a run at some point in time.
PS, I also figured that I would need to use training for the combat skills along with skill books. I personally haven't attempted to level Destruction since I know it is the slowest skill of them all, and I wanted to cut my fingers off after getting Archery half way.
Hey friend. It's interesting that you revived this thread, because I had started working on this again about two months ago and have been messing around with it on and off since then. While I think the run is very very very tedious and boring, routing it has been very fun and interesting. The only thing holding me off right now is how long and boring grinding the combat skills to 100 is taking (One-Handed, Two-Handed, Archery, and Destruction). You could also share what strategy you did to see if I was on the right track.
For One-Handed and Two-Handed, I used the Fortify Restoration Loop to get to a point were when I equip the Amulet of Talos, it lowers the shout recharge time into negative times, essentially giving you infinite shouts. I found all three words to Elemental Fury. Then I duplicated a bunch of Vegetable Soup so I could essentially have infinite stamina for power attacks. Afterwards I would make sure I had the Warrior Stone and Well Rested bonuses. Then it was a matter of beating up Shadowmere with your weapons. For One-Handed I used a Dragonbone Mace in the RH and a Dragonbone Dagger in the left and continuously spammed the combination power attack. For Two-Handed I used the Dragonbone War-Hammer. I would get each skill to 95, then go and grab five skill books for each skill to raise it to the final 100, because it would take forever to get there.
For Archery I used a Dragonbone Bow with Dragonbone Arrows. That is when I took a break because after pumping 450+ arrows into Shadowmere and only getting to like 60ish, I wasn't about to pump another thousand just to get to 89 (5 Skill books plus 6 Archery Skill levels from Angi to get to 100). And I didn't even start on Destruction which is the slowest skill to level up I believe.
My notes are cobbled together over like three documents. I was actually planning on writing up a very nice and detailed document of what I discovered sometime when I had the motivation. Then I was going to do one run and call it done for good. I don't know if I'll ever reach that point, but if you want to collab on some of it, that should bring my motivation up more.
I added blank splits to the resources tab for you. Bring it on man! :D
Also I forgot to mention, I'd recommend making a split for each level. If you want my splits just let me know and I can send them to you or upload them in the resource tab for this game and you can download them there.
Hello friend. Thanks for your question and I hope to see a run from you on the leaderboard in the future. It would be awesome if more players were running this game.
To activate the auto-splitter and load time remover, go to LiveSplit, right-click and select edit splits, then hit the button that says "activate" near the top.
Secondly, right-click on Livesplit again, select edit layout, press the " + " sign (which adds something to your layout), select Control, then select "Scriptable Auto-Splitter".
Once it is in your layout double click it, make sure both options for Start and Split are checked, and you can double check the script path is pointing the to AutoSplit file that Livesplit (or yourself) downloaded. If you need to change it just hit the browse button, and select the file, but I don't think you'll have to do this if you downloaded it through LiveSplit.
The auto-splitter should automatically start livesplit when you start the first mission of the campaign, and automatically split at the end of each mission, specifically when you hit the next mission button after completing a mission. It will stop timing when you defeat the final boss of the game and the ending cutscene starts (it ends about 2 seconds late, but I've never worried about it).
