Virginia, USAI have no idea. I don't understand why the UI/HUD can't be captured. For me, when I did runs of the game, I encountered the same problem. So I began to use a program called DXtory (http://exkode.com/dxtory-features-en.html) It isn't freeware at all, costs about $30.
DXtory is also the only way to capture Windows 10 App Games on PC.

For awhile, I've had emulated runs banned. A few days ago, I played this game on PCSX2 and realized how quick the load times are compared to the ps2. I mean they are super fast.
Usually I'd keep it banned, but because this game is so obscure and expensive to buy, I'll allow emulator runs. Please note emulator runs aren't really official, but have their own separate category. It is unfair to have emulated runs allowed but hidden, since you are taking your time to speedrun the game itself, you should at least be rewarded with a leaderboard.
If you really love this game and plan to speedrun it, maybe save up for an official copy in the future, but that is just my two cents.

Oh I didn't know subcategories were a thing now on this site. Usually people can filter by platform when looking at records, but having subcategories will work also.

If so, you are right about the ghosts. Loading times are faster, new costumes and difficulty also.
Edit: Also the number puzzles in the game are translated and are in normal order, unlike reverse order in the PS2 version.
Yeah, I plan to run NG+ categories so it seems I will have to fight them to prep a save file for it. Great can't wait to fight them Kappa
Funny thing you bring up Low%. I was talking to the person who helped route Kakarot's FF1 speedrun a week or so ago and that person was trying that category out. This is what they said:
"Some ghosts take over 10 minutes lol I dont think I beat the final boss. I have a save right there but unless you fatal frame combo every time, his regen will cover all the damage you've done I beat him with type-07 and blast orb, just to see if that was possible but I want to do it without special moves at some point"
This person was trying to beat the entire game with type-07, no upgrades though. I guess if other film is allowed, it would be easier. I might screw around with type-07 low% in the future though.
The only other category I could think of would be Bad% where you leave the village at the end and don't attempt to "rescure" Mayu.
I haven't fought the kid ghosts yet, but it seems kids in the series are always a pain in the ass.
If you can think of any more speedrun categories in the future, just feel free to suggest them in the forums and I'll try and make them.
Alright finally got around to cleaning up the leaderboards. I switched all runs to Full Game instead of Individual Levels.
Good news is now everyone's run(s) will show up on their profile. I also made Mission Mode a Misc category along with FPS mode and submitted your run! :)

Yeah PMs aren't still a feature on this site and I am awful when it comes to twitch PMs; whispers are usually better. Well since you have shown interest in this game, do you want mod to add the mini games to the leaderboards? I don't mind doing it, it just might be a few days before I can add them; mostly because I don't remember anything about the mini games and what possible categories there could be lol. So I'd have to boot up the game and screw around to see what there is to work with.
Sounds good. I haven't really found anything special since picking up this game a few weeks ago. I'll prob spend next weekend looking for some timesavers or improvements over what Panduhmonium has routed. Still trying to get my time down to match or beat Panduh's time on PS2.
I am also thinking about combining the PS2 and Xbox into one leaderboard just like it is for Fatal Frame 1. Only reason I would do that is because level leaderboards don't show up on your speedrun profile for the site.

So I recently encountered a problem. Right now, I am the only runner for a game called Chulip: (http://www.speedrun.com/Chulip). I run both categories listed, any% and all kisses.
Everything was fine until I tried to submit a most recent run I did a few nights ago. My run was rejected because my timing was off, I was suppose to start the timer when I started a New Game. Now this is fine and all, but until I submitted my speedrun I did a few nights ago, the moderator had no rules set up. Now he/she does have rules up after I submitted my third run for the game overall. This is frustrating because he/she has rejected my any% run, which had been accepted for a few months by him/her, and my most recent all kisses run.
I requested moderator status awhile ago in this thread (http://www.speedrun.com/post/g1xsj) because the guy/girl had no rules set up. I got a response from kirkq saying to contact the mod, in which I didn't because I didn't think it was a big deal. I was the only runner and my runs were getting accepted without any problems. I assumed the timing rules I was doing was right because my runs were getting accepted. Well now I have encountered a problem and I can't get in contact with the guy/girl via twitch PM because he/she has it set to where he/she can only accept messages from people he/she follows.
So I don't know what to do. I personally don't like the rules he/she has set up for the game and I wish to use my own, but there is no way for me to get in contact with him since he/she rejects messages from people on twitch whom he/she doesn't follow. If I do get moderator status, I am afraid he/she is just going to reject my runs after I post them again on the leaderboards. Is it possible to just remove he/she from the game.
