Ontario, CanadaI guess i have no choice but to use composite video? I would love to use SCART output but I've never seen a capture card that supports it.
Using my Dazzle, I got both my Xbox and PS2 working fine with s-video cables. I'm using Amarectv for video output.
The Game Cube is different, I also used s-video as a test and only got audio from the console, no video whatsoever. I tested some other video settings and only got fuzzy green video at the bottom of the screen.
Is my video cable faulty, or is it something to do with PAL GCs having problems with Dazzle?
Before anyone asks, yes the console does work using SCART to my TV.

I was asking about having each difficulty as its own run alongside the current arcade category because the run you currently have up has you playing through every difficulty in one go.
What if i or someone else wanted to run 1 specific difficulty instead of the entire arcade category? Why not have categories for such?
I'm not talking about adding variables, I'm talking about having additional leaderboards for easy, medium & hard respectively.
If you really dont want it on the main leaderboards, then have them as miscellaneous categories like the V-rally 2 leaderboards.
Do you mind if we have a separate category for the different arcade difficulties in addition to having the full Arcade category?
In case I (or somebody else) were planning to run a specific difficulty on Arcade, it would be nice to have separate categories.
Its a well-known fact that Gambatte is a very accurate emulator, damn near identical in performance to real hardware. Only days ago did the Pokemon community approve speedruns using that specific emulator.
What should be done is requiring everyone to use Gambatte if they will do an emulator run. What should be completely off-limits is something like VBA because the emulation for GB/GBC is very inaccurate. I'm surprised this isnt mentioned whatsoever in the rules.

Considering this is a Game Boy Color game means it can be played on the Game Cube Game Boy Player as well as the Game Boy Interface alternative.

P.S Mike, if you approve of these changes, can you please edit your own run and change the platform?
After some tests, I've come to a couple conclusions:
Lancer: absolute garbage, slow and heavy, stay away Corolla: stable but slow, good balance Puma: nimble and grippy, somewhat slow and unstable Impreza: excellent stability, good handling, decent speed Focus: good stability and grip, great acceleration
So I did testing and its kinda hard to determine which is best. I know the Corolla is the worst car followed by either the Puma or Lancer. The best car is kinda difficult to decide on. The Focus is clearly a quick car but the Subaru isnt far behind, perhaps it might be better somehow.
Post anything, opinions, testing whatever and see what results we can come up with.
Since CMR 2.0 has the possibility of choosing what car you used for a run, can we have it here as well?
Just use Twtich, you'll save yourself a million frustrations. Also, its easier to establish yourself/grab an audience on Twitch.
Getting a capture device is expensive, but the only good way to actually record off of your DS. I'd say you're better off getting the 3DS version instead.
Run games you enjoy. Don't think about the community too much.

Hard to say. I started really having an interest in speedrunning when I saw AdamAK's GTA Vice City run at one of the GDQs back in 2015 (I was aware of speedrunning probably as far back as 2009/10). RWhiteGoose was also someone who was entertaining, intelligent and informative and I really enjoy his speedrun sessions.
I only started speedrunning like 10 days ago, but I plan on only doing handheld games (on the more oscure side of things). Stuff like 2nd-rate platformers or racing games. This AGDQ was a big driving factor for me as it was the first time I watched a GDQ from start to finish.
