The forest manip gives you no encounters, a slightly faster movement path, and you can extend it into string shot turn 1 from the weedle guy. You need to clear the pidgey textboxes perfectly, same as the nido extension, with a button held down. This is a really good video with inputs on how the whole triple extension looks.
