** another update
I've left your run GreenSnowDog up on the leaderboard, it's under the misc options for co-op New Game run. Realistically, the new rule only ads a loading screen, so it adds anywhere from 5-7 seconds. So I'm not invalidating your run over that.
*Update on this
It has been discovered that items can be dragged from one level to the next, and this can only be done in new game plus. As such, a distinction will be made on the leader boards between the two.
Also, in order to prevent any set up off-timer in NG+, the start time in the rules will be changed. The timer will start from main menu as soon as you press play. This change will be made in NG, NG+ and in 100% runs for uniformity. This change will invalidate all existing runs, and for that I apologize. The game is very new, and new things are being discovered. I am hopeful this will be the only time we will have to invalidate existing runs.
NG+ for any%, 100% from a fresh file. Sorry for not clarifying initially! I'll be sure that's corrected
If someone adds it I'll run it. There's some cool runs on YouTube of this already, but they aren't on here because there's no category
Seems to be useful in any%, roughly 30 sec time save.
There's no category on here for Donkey Kong's Crash Course, and I was planning to run it. Is there a way to get it added?
Thanks
Figured it out, if you remove everything from the Wii U and put it on a flash drive, it saves a second on the load time
I've been running solo events (no co-op), and I've noticed that in comparison to the current WR, my game is loading roughly 1 sec. slower than the WR video is. I've already switched from disc to download, which, if there is any difference, I can't tell. I'm going to try deleting everything except for Smash off my Wii U tonight and see if that changes anything.
Does anyone have any other ideas on how to speed up these load times?
