Moderators from various Paradox speedrunning leaderboards have gone together to create a common discord server for all Paradox speedrunning. It's part of an effort to create a more interconnected community between games, so feel free to join in on that server if you want: https://discord.gg/R6cqEYtsTW
We've also made a new subreddit for a similar purpose, so if you use Reddit then maybe consider checking that out also: https://www.reddit.com/r/ParadoxSpeedruns/
Hello everyone, I'm _frms and I'm a moderator of CK3. I've been added as a moderator to this game and plan to standardize the rules to be more similar to CK3. Don't worry though, not much will change. The main thing will be a IGT (ingame time) and RTA (real time) split, with IGT as the main one. If you have other suggestions feel free to write them to me, either here on the discord.
Speaking of discord, I've made the CK3 speedrunning discord into a Crusader Kings speedrunning discord with a few CK2 channels, so feel free to join that: https://discord.com/ukkWwBX
With the new strategy developments, that pushed the "King of Ireland" record down to 21 days (and maybe even lower) I think the category got less interesting to run since you don't really need to play the game anymore (even though it's crazy that this time is possible). Of course they should stay on the boards, but I'd suggest splitting the category into something like any% and one of two possibilities:
- no ruler designer
- original irish ruler (maybe called "The Emerald Isle") so no ruler designer and you'd have to start in Ireland I'd probably prefer the second option, but am open for discussion. What are your opinions on this?
