Would not be legal if it requires storing the glitch between runs, but I think if more interest builds up for the game (thanks to GDQ) we could create an any% (No Major Glitches) run. We used to have one back in the day during EA and during The Tutorial% days if I recall. Primarily because catapulting was a thing and it required hardware capabilities that not everyone had access too (Devs allowed us to experiment with uncapped / forced target frames in earlier builds, ect)
This is a known glitch, interestingly enough doesn't really end up saving a lot of time. Abusing door loading like this can also sometimes mess up geomatry loading in other parts of the map.
Had a blast watching this live. Great run! Best luck this Saturday!
If enough people start running it, sure. People are pretty confident and comfortable with the categories we have but we don't want to stop people from running categories with the potential of them becoming popular.
Jump into the discord and ask around too, folks might be interested in this.
Have you tried the elevator skip in the beginning? Might save you a few seconds, tbh. You don't need the sword for a while in my experience.
Instant Text is cool as shit.
I don't know how I do it but my dialog is instant speed a lot. I think it has to do with the game thinking we're buffering inputs while entering chat.
Not sure though.
No, it's not cropping / splicing.
When Lunacid loads, the black space is an actual area. The floating loading numbers, the Area names, they're all objects that can overlap and often do in correct circumstances.
