I'm very interested in running NV but just a quick request, does anyone known if there are any runs that are out there which are commentated and have the strats and stuff explained?
I've seen the text walkthroughs and there are clips of certain strats but would love to just sit down and watch someone talking their way through it.
Sorry if this is an annoying request but if anyone can help a potential runner out with a link I would really appreciate it.
I put down a fairly average time for this run today, my main thing is the glitch, I was able to do it great in practice but with the rifles, then in the speedrun I'm just struggling so hard with the shotguns, no clue why, I'm fast so that doesn't feel like it's the issue, just really scratching my head why it isn't working until attempt number 30 each time, or I get the glitch but it shows me with the stretched out horse reigns, then I hit L1/LB and I am warped back onto the horse but it cancels out the glitch, very difficult for me to get it on foot too.
Edit: As soon as I type this out, I felt it go right for me, however I was having to pull out the undead bait afterwards to get it going and I don't think that's how it should go, I know it's 100% a skill issue and I'll get it
Just posting this to say how much I LOVE this game, been a big Poirot fan for a long time and was skeptical when I saw this game was set in modern times but everything in this game worked out perfectly.
I contacted Speedrun.com to get this game up here as it wasn't previously. I wanted there to be more replayability for the game and I have been playing on PS5 so had another reason to play to get the platinum trophy and then thought... Speedrun? So now we all have another reason to play it.
10.3.25 is the date this game was set up on here and as of writing this I have IL, Any% and 2 Meme% categories.
I hope those who partake in this game category speedrun have a great time with it!
Nah no worries man! You seem to be passionate about this and that's just what they need in a mod, hope things get sorted here ASAP!
The amount of runs coming in compared to how many mods are active here is very one sided, I've got a full time job and a baby, my free time right now is next to none, I'll happily step down from being a mod (can't do it myself need the main mod to remove me) and someone else can take it, let him know
I'd imagine way more people play on PS5 now and we could split the leaderboards if necessary, it's a shame to limit the RDR speedrun to full game and PS3 only multiplayer, if its the workload that'd too much I'd throw my hat in to verify runs of ILs, just want this wee corner of Speedrun.com to thrive and have some fun
I'm on the PS5 port as I don't have my old ps3 anymore, I'm sure ILs could be really fun to do, it's amazing that we don't have them anymore, would be a great way to keep this game alive on here and have more new runs coming in, I hope for a change
I had to shelve my PC set up and desk to make room for my baby's bed nearly a year ago and now only have access to this game on PS5
I find the aiming/shooting to be so difficult (and I mainly play on console with most shooters) but the accuracy and aim is so rough
I know someone did a 51 minute run on console and just don't understand what isn't clicking for me
Any tips, sensitivity scale and other options info from those capable on console would be great, thanks!
I plan on improving, it had been 20 years for me, it adds numbers to the leaderboard and isn't hurting anyone, why do you care? This is the fastest I have done regardless
I don't understand? This isn't even the lowest scored run?? On console this feels impossible
Have to agree, I go for Wang more often than not, he has some top tier insults as well as being funny!
