If you do it for an entire run it can save a few seconds but hardly worth it imo

You should run on V1.1 as it’s the most recent version that can run the automasher (make sure you download the mod) If you want guides on the neutral and genocide routes, you can find them on this SRC page. (A pacifist guide may exist but I’m unaware) The neutral guide is mostly up to date, except for a few minor things involving the automasher which aren’t that big of a deal.

The King and Queen chess pieces could be king and queen respectively. The Crown could be anything but I’m leaning towards Tenna because he’s referred to as a king and briefly wears a crown. The Knight piece is, well, the knight, and this could be referring to the chapter 3 fight or a later fight. The flower is probably some sort of chapter 5 reference, and that leaves 2 chapters that are not revealed (probably chapter 4 since it’s the current chapter) and chapter 7 since it’s the end

The knife could be useful for the knight and the titan especially since it only costs 40 to to use rude buster. I think runners are still getting the jevils tail because it has some sort of money-making ability I think, but in theory devils knife could be faster

I made my own video just showing how I beat the knight consistently. But I think there’s also a few other tutorials that would probably work better for some people.

Eram is one of the two optional bosses in chapter 3. He is a required boss in all bosses for that reason. (You skip him in all shadow crystals if you can beat the knight without the mantle)

“All bosses” is a category where you fight all the bosses you would normally fight in the speedrun, along with the “secret bosses” of each chapter (Jevil, Spamton Neo, Eram, Knight, Gerson)

Mike is more like a minigame joke fight sort of thing, and it doesn’t involve getting a shadow crystal, meanwhile all the other bosses mentioned above do hand out shadow crystals. It’s the same kind of argument against skipping Berdly and the DJ’s in chapter 2 all bosses.

I think you’re right to hold against the wall, but iirc you have to make sure you lose a small amount of height on each jump, otherwise you will fall. Also, hold in the opposite direction of the wall after each jump for a short amount of time before holding towards the wall again.

At least that’s how I do them. There may be better ways.

I’ve only really seen breaks being allowed on really long categories in games, and even those breaks are only 15 minutes usually and runners use them for bathroom breaks, eating etc.

The most interesting category with this ruleset would be low% geno, as not picking up new weapons would greatly affect the enemies and some of the bosses

Pacifist has the most glitches to perform, and many of these are difficult. It’s also the longest of the 3 main categories.

First, patch it into the game. This is easy enough, you can just drag it on top of the UTY file iirc.

Once it’s in there, check settings and enable it. You can set it to any key that isn’t in the game’s default settings
