For video game rules, there are moves which hit every pokemon fighting, so dealing damage to every lion at once would be possible. You could also in theory have an ability like rough skin that would damage the melee-only lions, and then stall for time until they died.

I still think that it would make a difference. @timbos468 got banned for cheating in two games The first time, I handled it privately with other game mods, and while eventually people figured it out, there wasn't really any drama. The second time, the game mods talked about the cheating accusations publicly in the discord, and timbos actually got enough hate that he deleted his apology video off of youtube.

Another example of someone getting a lot of hate over cheating was when @LeKukie tied the smb1 any% world record. Karl Jobst made a pretty misleading video covering the incident. He has since made an update video explaining and clarifying it, and even donated 100$ to LeKukie, but LeKukie still received hundreds of hate comments over the 1-2 months it took to make an update video. Thankfully there aren't any hard feelings between them.

It does save time, but I already do that in runs.

That strat is the same speed as what I normally do, you still have to jump in the air, break a brick, and fall directly onto the bus stop. It actually might lose a bit of time since you have to run on the ground for a couple frames.

Cookie basically had an aneurism because he got 1 notification from this thread. This is minecraft java edition: half of the people who run this game are like 12. You're going to get a lot of people who don't read rules or threads, or do stupid stuff. If you get that upset from an irrelevant forum post, then turning off forum posts is what you should do. You can still read the forums, just check in on the games that you follow every couple of days.

The actual reason that necroposts are considered impolite is because it bumps resolved threads to the top of the list, cluttering up the forums with unnecessary topics. Most people have legitimate questions, and those questions may go unanswered because they get crowded out by joke posts and necros. Most of the time people necro threads because they haven't read them, and you get responses like this. SuboticaGaming clearly did not read the thread at all, his post is barely on topic, and is contradictory to the conclusion that the thread reached months ago. That is the problem that I have with necroposts.

I would also like to point out that by responding to this thread, we have made the problem worse by keeping this thread at the top. I won't respond to this thread anymore; arguing on the internet is a waste of time.

I wouldn't want the site to accidentally encourage people to seek out and harass users over this kind of stuff. I think that alting and spam submissions should be visible as well, so that mods can automatically reject alt account runs. The type of cheating should also be known; should I check for splices, speeding up, stolen runs? It would be a help.

I'm assuming this is a question for the HTML5 version of the game, since the flash version is already a sub 46. I don't think a 45 second time is possible. Currently, the only known strat that my run doesn't use is the "double bonk" which saves a small amount of time over the "single bonk" which I do in runs. There's still a small amount of time to save from better gameplay, but it's not enough for another second barrier.

There are a couple of theoretical strategies that I've tested, but unfortunately none of them work. In level 3, it might be possible to jump from the second brick you jump on to the second red brick in the row of bricks. If you could make that jump and break the red brick, you could then fall through and make it to the bus stop, saving about a second. Unfortunately, this is barely impossible I think.

Another strat I couldn't make work was skipping the final brick in the second to last level. Normally you have to land on the brick where I drew the 'x' but if you could make it far enough left to get to the bus stop that would save another .4 seconds.

The last thing I couldn't get to work was the double jump glitch, which I've explained in another thread which I'll link below. Despite this being a pretty huge glitch, I wasn't able to find anywhere it could save time. https://www.speedrun.com/60sbr/thread/ibwv7
