So I left a YouTube comment on jaypins video calling him out on these lies. He deleted my comment. Despite claiming that he has learned and grown, he is still trying to keep everything a secret. Definitely has not matured at all.

Jaypin submitted the stolen runs only about a year before his ban. Since then, he has actively tried to cover up his ban, even deleting comments on videos. Now, he is continuing to lie. His apology video stretches the truth, and it is also unlisted, which means less people will be able to see it. These are not the actions that someone who genuinely is sorry would take. This is not what someone who learned their lesson would do. I believe that people can change, but jaypin clearly has not. I will continue to reject his runs, I advise others to do the same.

When you do full game runs, it's much easier to make quick progress. You can lower your sob, improve by tens of seconds, even minutes in single runs, and compete with more people. When you run ILs, you might have to use frustrating strats, compete with less people, and make slow progress. When you do manage to save time, its often very small. One game I do ILs for is optimized, and I usually only save 1 or 2 frames each time I pb.

I have also had this issue @Oreo321 I don't think it matters, for me it was a "save"

A banner is an image at the top of the screen that fades into the color of the background (see https://speedrun.com/baldnate or https://speedrun.com/tim_ for examples of banners). If you just want to change the color of the top panel, go to edit theme and change the "primary color" :

you could try using a vpn to change your location.

A lot of stuff I would say has already been covered here, so I'll try my best to give more advice.

1. Try to have comprehensive rules for games. Specify things like timing start and stop, if there is a load remover/autosplitter, tell people to use it, mention any banned glitches or tricks, and tell people what video platforms are and aren't allowed (for example, no twitch past broadcasts because they aren't permanent video). Also, fill out both the category rules and the game rules, I often see games that have either or both of these fields empty.

2. Make yourself available to be contacted. Keep forum notifications on, and check your dms regularly. If someone has a question or concern about the board, you need to be easy to contact so everything can get sorted. This means being active on the site, or at least turning on email notifications for messages, forums, and pending runs. I'd also recommend adding more socials to your profile if possible. You only need two, but it can't hurt to have more.

3. Other people have said this, but definitely read the moderation rules. They are important and dictate how moderators should behave. If you want to be a good mod, follow these rules. Also make sure that you are retiming runs properly.
