If you are speedrunning for the nostalgia and you never beat City Entrance, the IL board is for you.

You don't need a leaderboard for it, I promise. It's a twenty minute speedgame. I ran another PS1 game 5 years ago that ended up being 3 hours long to 100%. I made my splits and did runs up through certain levels and forfeited the run each time on a later level than the last time, ultimately getting much better at the early game. I never considered creating an incomplete category based on my incompetence. Finishing the full run one day was very rewarding and it became a breeze every subsequent time. Learn the run and reconsider your idea. If you really want times to compare to, I'll look at my best split times for each boss and post them here.

That would be up to the runners of that game in particular! speedrun.com sees a game series as 3 or more games, so I would be unable to make that decision on my own. Good luck to you and/or the future runners when the game comes out. Excited to try it casually at the very least!

Sure, that's fine too. Optimally, you'll want to stay within each level collecting all the tokens or else you sit through many many extra loading screens. Good luck.

If you can't beat the whole game, feel free to submit to the IL board! Incomplete categories for an already very short game will not be added to a "Full game leaderboard".

I've had the same idea in mind for many years, robthegamer115. It would be exciting to see one player with decent times in all of those categories since there's hardly any overlap in runners for some of those.

As far as I'm aware, you can only set a primary sorting method for an entire game, not a category. It's clear that the primary sorting method for this game is RTA. Clicking "In Game Time" at the top of the All Time Trials leaderboard does solve the issue and allows you to see the board sorted as you requested. If All Time Trials is the only category with an IGT column, changing the primary sorting method to IGT should leave the other categories unaffected.
