Rule 2 explanation correction: It counts if the creature WOULD despawn, regardless of whether you actually wait for that to happen. Recapturing the same creature however doesn't add another point since you're just leaving the same creature behind again

I believe you that your videos show an actual sub 2:44 All Purple Coins run that meets all requirements, but regardless of that, I agree with the community that you haven't succeeded in providing actual video proof. We have found that it would have been possible to produce similar video material spliced together from separate runs, or from a run with breaks, and therefore your videos lack the property of being video proof for your former WR.

Please record a singular complete video next time in order to meet the "video proof" requirement that is stated in the rules. Thanks.

Continuation: The First Moon Skip is a skip where you first bypass an invisible wall to prematurely access the area behind Our First Power Moon. This was already being done in Low% (though the current fastest strat doesn't use it anymore afaik), and it is not 1.0.0 exclusive.

What is exclusive to the 1.0.0 version however is that after bypassing the invisible wall separating you from the odyssey, you are actually able to enter the boss fight with Madame Broodal. In later versions, the loading zone for the fight is only active after Our First Power Moon has been collected, but in the 1.0.0 it is active immediately.

This makes it possible to completely skip of Our First Power Moon, the cutscene upon reaching the Odyssey, and afaik the Cappy dialogue after collecting the Multimoon Atop the Falls. After collecting two more moons in Cascade, you can then leave Cascade 22-23 seconds faster than normal, resulting in a 22-23 second time save over other physical versions overall.

Care about it more than about colour and FPS. I'm going to be the one who will end up watching the submission. And show your purple coin lists at the end for more than one second please

But the most important thing: Record a full run in one video!

How often did you try?

Try a single vid for the next run you submit. If you don't succeed at making a single vid, don't submit. You know it now. Also, care about the resolution

When you've seen a few Twitch streams even by Okikurume, Odme, or Spikevegeta, you're going to realize that black&white is not anywhere close to as annoying as a low resolution especially in videos where there's anything to read at all, and that resolution is a problem 2017 live-uploaders (i.e. streamers) even at the top level are still having. Unless the stream resolution was to solely be a viewer problem for me, in which case I myself would be a counterexample to your high exspectations

Do you already have a run recorded in one video? If so, I think you can upload that and you will have my support about (2) and (3) For the future, I believe that resolution is more important for a video being video proof than either colour or FPS. I think I would happily watch a b&w WR with nice resolution and a minimum of FPS.

We've just had a discussion about the topic on the Discord server. The reasons why your run got rejected are:

• Your run isn't in 1 video (main reason)
• Your videos have low quality (some people wouldn't change their opinion on that one)
• You are banned from the SMO speedrunning community, with some people holding the opinion that, for punishment, you should also banned from the leaderboard.

I personally only agree with point 1, who thinks the same?

All moons would be one option, and the option I'd prefer especially if it's being done from a new file. The other option would be to get the first moon each time

Any% plus coin routing plus coin grinding. The one in the middle should make quite a difference imo
