you will want to use Rivatuner, the way most people get this program is MSI afterburner. Also make sure vsync is off and you have variable FPS in game

Hello, this is new and meant to be a challenge run for people who run all 3 games. The main category will obviously end up Jill any%, Claire B. So we did add another sub category for chris and leon. There is infinite possibilities for categories but we want to keep it small.

Knife only has one less category right now as its not clear if Jill or Chris is faster in re1r

We are open to more categories but this is a good start for now.

apparently he made one but its just as bad as the ps2 one, the only one that works well is the ps3 one....probably because of the engine change

anyone getting crashes, this is the threat in the emulator forums to report them. https://forums.rpcs3.net/thread-201766.html the more they see the more likely this game gets more stable. you can post log files here when your game crashes

iv only had it ask for updates when i run it, it can crash but its pretty rare depending on settings....it is not completely stable, sometimes it does not crash for weeks for me

no idea if the ps3 is actually faster, but it does feel faster. you dont have to actually jailbreak the console if you are worried about that, you can just use the homebrew enabler

here is a full run with the door skip on a PS3, its not a good run, but it shows how fast the door skip is. I estimate about 30 minutes of time save . I had a better run on emulator but it has retry's at steve. I actually think both are the same speed and its possible the ps3 is faster. I do want to mention i have an SSD on my ps3 which might have an impact

This should work (i think) on a homebrew enabled PS3 without having to fully Jailbreak....however I am not 100% sure as mine is jailbroke. Also if you want to get your copy off of your PS3 for the emulator I am pretty sure you will have to do this anyway. Do this at your own risk if you feel comfortable with it

the PS1 version is flat out garbage compared to the PC version in basically every way....PC uncapped is very weird depending on what patches your using. the first time i played it it was 32 or possibly higher, the credits were less than 1 second long, when your died you could not even read syonara

the FPS counter from rivatuner worked fine for me, i have it displayed on my recent run

It works well with peixoto like this , i even think forcing 30 FPS makes the game more stable. Also even 31 FPS is noticeable with the animations. I did get a 1:21 with a few small mistakes. I think the biggest indicator that 30 FPS is correct was actually the credits which were smooth and matched the music

Every point of FPS is at least a minute of time save if not more. My runs were at 28 FPS because for some reason putting it in a window was doing that. i did do a run at 31 FPS (dont know why it was running at that) and saved over 5 minutes while making mistakes.

Rivatuner can lock this game at 30 fps , i had to use medium detection level, i was able to do this with Piexoto patch, although it should not matter how the game was run as long as we can see its running at 30 FPS

ok, i can get FPS to show with rivatuner at medium detection level, oddly if i run the game vanilla this causes the game to run very slow, but with Piexoto i can get it at a locked 30 fps...so maybe this is the best way, assuming piexoto does not crash

yeah, and every FPS is a few minutes of time save, so we probably should be going for vanilla as possible, and not Peixoto....I have not figured out how to show FPS without dxwnd , my rivatuner is not picking up the game

so with the game running at that i believe is the correct speed, using DXWND but not forcing a window, i already got a 1:20:02. This runs at 31 FPS, so it still makes me think Peixoto might be faster, when i did my first playthrough on peixoto for example the credits were turbo speed.

this 1:20:02 i got had a few mistakes so hopefully i get a clean run tomorrow

ok so, if i used DXWND in a window i get 28 FPS, if i used DXWND fullscreen i get 31 fps, so its possible piexoto is running at the correct speed , or maybe its even faster, but my game was running slow

of course the other possibility is that my game was running slow cause of DXWND for some reason...i dont know if anyone can tell for sure looking at my run

stock FPS is 28 FPS, for whatever reason from what i can tell, but either way at least the new peixoto patch is a lot faster it seems like. I have not been able to get the FPS to show on peixoto patch yet, but i can get to that first computer WAY faster than i can without it. Also character breathing animations are clearly faster than they are supposed to be
