I was thinking about learning how to run this game. Does anyone know of any guides for running on NES?

Hello. I am thinking about getting into running this game, but I do not own any 6th gen consoles. If I were to run this game on an emulator, would it be considered legitimate, and if so, what would be the best platform/emulator to use?
