If you wanted to find a different MWW route you can use this to calculate planet times

Doesn't have Nova data because I didn't want to beat MWW on emu, but it seems like Mecheye -> Nova is only slightly slower than Halfmoon -> Nova based on distance
There was at one point, but it was decided that it was unnecessary to have an official leaderboard due to extra work for mods as well as inaccuracy due to many people not submitting. If you go through runners' youtube/twitch vods, many of us keep track of our best times in individual games, but don't really compete outside of full game besides Arena
Sorry it took so long to reply, didn't get a notif
I think Japanese runners have a community over at Niconico, and most of them submit to speedrun.com if they have a video. To my knowledge all top runs are on SRC at the moment besides mikan's who has a 34:57 any% (no video)
It doesn't matter how minor the change is, any external advantage is banned in an RTA speedrun unless otherwise specified (which in this case would make a new category). I can think of loads of ways 1P2C that can bust the game, like the absurdly high damage output of Wheelie Rider and complete control over partner for quick kills.
This site also is following the same ruleset as Japan, so it isn't a change that can happen without their consent. I guarantee that they would also think that it should remain banned.
As with everything in speedrunning, you are perfectly free to use whatever ruleset you want, you just have to concede the ability to post to the leaderboard.
Using 2 controllers is banned
They can be added into the rules, so if a mod doesn't get around to seeing this I'll DM them and inform. It is standard across most games that 1P2C is banned so I'm not sure if its necessary to specify
It should remain banned as it can be considered an external advantage outside of normal gameplay (you wouldn't 1P2C under normal circumstances ever)
It would be another category if anyone wanted to run it, but I doubt it would be added as a leaderboard due to lack of interest + anything outside of any% and 100% has historically not been added, and people who do runs outside of any and 100 just keep track of their PB on their own
only any% and 100% have boards because they are the most competitive and extra stuff is hard to moderate
If you look at the guides section, I have tutorials for any% that are quick, but they go over the most important parts for a beginner route. The video tutorials/time savers playlist goes over some not obvious stuff that really help with the run, and I highly suggest going over those (plasma mash, jet, mixing, sneaky stuff).
There is also a plasma chart in the guide section which is good to go over to figure out optimal plasma combinations attuned to your mashing ability against bosses.
Movement is the most important part of speedrunning and is exposed heavily in KSS. Getting from Point A to Point B as fast as possible saves a ridiculous amount of time over tricks/good luck. If you record your PB and compare it side to side with another runner (I suggest zzzhonki's or my 35:30 because they are on youtube), you should be able to see how you can lose or save time on individual rooms and how that adds up to a lot.
You shouldn't worry too much about advanced stuff/movement until you stop PBing every 5 times you run the game, just use those runs to have fun and get used to the mechanics.
It does really mess up the graph but I laugh every time I see it. There's data missing from pre-2014 I believe so I wouldn't trust its accuracy from that far back.
If you want to go really fast, you should get SNES version anyway. Emulator loses time due to lag. Other than that you can use verified emulators as you please
