A couple of weeks rest from burnout and injury, and here we are: A brand-new untied world record by Dan "Why can't I clutch anything?" Hall. Countless 0:45 fails and even some legit 0:44 fails, it's an absolute fucking atrocity of a level and this should not have taken as long as it did to get it. This is the first world record set using the off-camera instant drop variant of the old strat, which puts the pace roughly 1 and a half seconds ahead of Werster's 0:48 upon exiting the wall; With a couple more optimisations and clean play, 0:45 was possible. I chose this strat over the new slope glitch strat because I felt there was more potential, to which the new slope glitch route seems to possibly hard max at a low 0:46 because of the cycles. I know this route can go as low as 0:44 with a little luck after the first spring, a slight strat change after the second and an even tighter run than a 0:45 pace without them, although the level will definitely be hard-maxed afterwards without a new discovery. By the way, I'm not entirely sure why nobody does the boss from the second block after the first hit: It is by far the fastest way I've seen to do it in real-time, which I estimate saves just under half a second.
