I was just checking this out. I didn't know this mod had a leaderboard and I thought it would be cool to submit a run. But if I do a run of the newest version will it be okay as the 3 runs on here are from a few months ago?
Honestly haven't had a chance to check it out yet with the RE1 tournament going on. If it's significantly different from v1.6, I'll probably just add a separate category for it, tbh. Either way, yea, you can run it
You'd have to test it yourself. It does change a bit. Changes the patch and aydan forces you to kill all bosses. and no worries. you do your thing and I'll submit it when you get a chance.
also yeah running in english forces you to say yes to jill in the serum room. I tried on japanese and you can pick so I don't know if you have to changes rules aswell. Also I have no clue about the glitches and the link in the rules doesn't work for me. I just want to know what to do. as I'm not someone who knows glitches lol.
The link to the glitches should be fixed now (we had to change the URL for RE1 because Google kept flagging it as a harmful site...). If you don't know what the glitches are, they're pretty hard to do by accident, so you don't really need to worry, but not a bad idea to give 'em a peek.
That's interesting about the Serum room thing, is that all versions or just the newest one? Either way, I'll have to look into that soon here. Unless Aiden intends for the game to have Japanese support, we'll probably restrict it to English only.
Alright, looking at his release page, it's clearly very different and by design you're forced to make certain choices. Since you're not intended to have that choice to say no to Jill in the serum room, we'll keep it English version only to keep his intention for the mod.
Anyway, I think everything should be set up and good to go for v2.1b now. "Bad Ending" rules say "saving 0 or 1 STARS member" so the forced saving of Jill will still fit that, thankfully :)
