Chromatrope made a nice comparison that shows how big the difference among the platforms are in the first cutscene of Chapter 1

In this video,

• Wii U VC is considered the fastest platform (10 seconds faster than DS, 5 seconds faster than Emulator)

• Emulator is slower than Wii U VC, faster than DS (5 seconds faster than DS, 5 seconds slower than Wii U)

• DS/3DS is the slowest platform

Wii U VC may save 15-20 minutes over DS in a RTA any% speedrun (rough estimate for now)
