IL runs have a different approach than any% runs.
Circuit:
-Uniques: Engine, turbo & nitrous
-Nitrous: First start with spray show and do 360 turns three times (simply drive in circles at the start line in 30kph). Now do the first lap normally, but without any nitrous. This will give you "+150 Lead lap" bonus. Second lap can be either taken normally as well, in which case you get "2x 150 Lead lap" bonus, or you can take it cleanly (no crashes or wallgrinds) and you'll get "2x 150 Lead lap" AND "3x Clean lap" bonuses, which will give you a significant amount of nitrous. Whether or not to do a clean lap depends on the track you're doing. Some tracks will even require 4 laps to have maximum speed at the start of the hot lap and maximum nitrous.
Sprint:
-Uniques: Engine, turbo & nitrous
-Nitrous: To get nitrous in sprints, do a wheelie at the start. I would suggest to immediately restart if you do not get at least +200. You can also sometimes get a clean section bonus. Anyway, you should only use nitrous at specific places.
Street-X:
