So having spent too long thinking about the best way to handle the level skip glitch in Adventure Mode I think I have a solution. The solution I have come up with puts a lot of work on moderation but I think is the most fair.

Runs now are either classed as Glitched (level skip occurs), Glitchless (level skip does not occur), or Unknown (run has not been checked for level skip). Any skipped levels will be noted and the timer adjustments will be handled as follows:

• If there is a previous run by the runner (start with PB and work backwards) without that level skipped then the time from that will be used (download the vod and use Avidemux or a similar program to do a frame count). All the skipped level times are summed and rounded up to the nearest second and this is added to the final time.
• If there isn't a previous run or every previous run has skipped that level then an arbitrary time penalty of 30s will be added. This time is extreme but I believe it will cover any potential level lengths and subsequent runs will eventually not need it. We can monitor this time though and if it proves to be a big issue we can discuss it.

I have gone through the top 3 times for Adventure "Upgrades" (4th time had a private video so has been unverified until they unprivate it) and applied this. For the "No Upgrades" category I will get through but it is a painful manual process so it may take some more time. Runs outside of the top 3 I will try to go through but I think as far as competitiveness goes it's less an issue. If new runners come in and get their runs judged and find themselves losing to "Unknown" runs then that will be the spark to apply the changes. I do intend to cover them all but I don't always have a lot of free time.
