So you wanna speedrun Feed The Monkey? Well, this is a comprehensive guide on how to waste your time on a children's game.
Firstly you must know the rules: • No using of cheats. (e.g Autoclicker, AI doing it for you, e.t.c) • We won't accept Mixed category speedruns. (it's just the Visual Category but the guy speaks.) • You need to do 10 rounds of the game. One round consists on you clicking the appropriate buttons and letting Brown Monkey eat the food. • If you are using Livesplit, only split when Brown Money is jumping back into his place. • You need to set your range to "1-20", as its the only number range we are using. If this changes, I will update this guide.
Now you must understand the ranges and what the difference between Mixed, Visual and Spoken are.
Now, what I mean by range is the numbers you can go up to. Before starting the game you will get to a page that shows your preferred settings. You will see two columns with options underneath. The left column shows the number rage. This determines the maximum number of food that you can serve to Brown Monkey. Currently, we only use the '1-20' range but again, if that changes, I will update this guide.
Next you will see a column titled "Question Type". There are 3 options. Spoken, Visual or Mixed. Currently, we only accept runs that are Spoken or Visual. The main difference is that in the Spoken Category, the Narrator tells you what the number of things he wants to eat while in Visual, the numbers appear in text bubbles. This means that Visual records are significantly faster than Spoken ones. Mixed category is just Visual and Spoken combined, so that is why we don't do speedruns of it.
This is all you need to know about the Speedrunning process. Any software you might need is in the 'Resources' section. Happy Speedrunning!
