Activate Load Remover

1. *Acquire the load remover ASL file. Save it somewhere smart.
2. Right click Livesplit, and press "Edit Layout..."
3. Click the plus, and press "Control>Scriptable Auto Splitter".
4. Click "Layout Settings".
5. Open the Scriptable Auto Splitter tab, and browse to the ASL file.
6. Right click Livesplit, and select "Compare Against>Game Time", if it is not already selected.
7. Right click Livesplit and press "Save Layout".

*We have to make a new load remover for every patch, so if you cannot find it on here, just join the Discord and ask for it. :)

Far Cry 6 only has autosaves, but there is a way for you to create a copy of the latest autosave outside the game, and later access it. 

1. Open Ubisoft Connect (Uplay), press the three stripes in the top left, open "Settings>General", and UNTICK "Enable cloud save synchronization for supported games".

2. Open the following folder in file explorer. This is where Far Cry 6 puts your save files.

C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegames\(big-ass number with letters)\5266

3. CREATE a subfolder here, for saving your save points. For example, I have created this folder, for the autosave right at the beginning of the mission "Juan of a Kind":

...\5266\Archive\Juan of a Kind

4. Right after the game is finished autosaving, tab out and COPY the four files listed below, from the "5266" folder, into the "5266\Archive\Juan of a Kind" folder. 

character0_1.char.save
character0_2.char.save
saveSlot0_1.sav.save
saveSlot0_2.sav.save

(Note, if you are using the second save slot in the menu, the "0_1" and 0_2" bits will be named "1_1" and "1_2" instead. If you use slot 3, it's "2_1" and "2_2".)

5. When I later want to access this save point, I EXIT to desktop, and COPY these four files from the "5266\Archive\Juan of a Kind" folder, and PASTE them into the "5266" folder, REPLACING the existing files with the same name.

How to manually subtract load times (without load remover)

Please use the load remover if you are on PC. However, if you did not use it or are on console, you can record your run without it then manually subtract load times. Loads happen any time you fast travel or reload autosave. Subtract the time starting when the screen turns black until you have character control. Also, there is one at the end of the intro when you reach the boat. Subtract the time that the loading icon is visible in the lower right corner. You can watch the PC runs with a load remover to use as a reference for when the load remover starts and stops.

I just use notepad to make a list of the load times every time a loading event takes place. Then add it up and remove that from the real time. Then you will enter the actual real time and the in game time (time without loads) when you submit your run.

# Accessibility

Please note this guide assumes you are playing the game on Keyboard & Mouse, if you are playing with a Controller, you may want different settings.

***Vision***

It's recommended you turn on **Enemy Outline** and **Pickup Outline**, and set it to whatever colour you'd prefer. Some common options are Pink, Yellow, or White.

- Turn *Reticle Sway* **OFF**
- Turn *Lock-On Aim* **ON**
- Swap *Camera Shakes* to **Minimal**

***Motor***

- Turn *Reticle Sway* **OFF**
- Turn *Repeated Presses* **OFF**
- Swap *Camera Shakes* to **Minimal**

# Video

In general, you can have whatever video settings you'd like. However, there are a couple things of note:

- If you have a lower FOV, the AA gun tower shot strat as well as the Libertad Rises undetected strat become *significantly* easier. The exact value boils down to personal preference, but if you like a higher FOV it's recommended you try to stick to the 90-100 FOV range rather than 120 FOV.

- FidelityFX Super Resolution is great for performance but can make far away headshots a bit trickier to line up. If you use FFXSR, it's recommended you compensate with a lower FOV. Alternatively, just set your resolution scale to 0.8 or so if you need the FPS boost. If you have a decent PC just leave FFXSR off entirely.

# Keyboard & Mouse

Again more of just a general note here rather than specific advice:

- You can have two bindings set to one action in Far Cry 6, make sure to keep this in mind when creating keybinds that are most comfortable for you.

-  For Slide Cancelling, you'll be using crouch/slide a fair bit while also moving around. A tip for making this a bit more comfortable is to bind this to your mouse so you can move freely and not cramp up your hand.
