Hey everyone, I’m not sure if this has been done already, but I managed to switch my Splatoon's language from American English to Japanese through cafiine and the leaked 5.5.1 kernel exploit. If cafiine language switching is considered as speedrun-legal, then everyone can take advantage of the faster Japanese text without having to drop $350 on a new Wii U.

Yo dude! That sounds amazing. As far as the mod is accessible to everyone and still runs on original software it will not be a problem. Wii's for example are softmodded to play JP versions of sms or Galaxy. If, however, the version used in cafiine is a rom or 'usb loader' type game then it will not be allowed.
