One thing I noticed while doing a casual playthrough of this for retro achievements is the hostile agents in the train station are static. The model of the hostile agents always changes but their spawn does not. I believe that this level ends once all hostile agents are dead. So in theory you could memorize where all the hostile agents spawn and take them out quickly. The issue is that it's random when they start moving.

As an example in the picture below, I marked three static NPCs these will ALWAYS be hostile agents. You can even take them out before the agents escorting Ethan and they won't aggro. (Note the one in the middle started moving before I took the screenshot so I marked where she spawns). I also noticed that the NPCs carrying luggage are NEVER hostile agents.

Hi everyone I discovered what I think is an undocumented glitch that can be useful for speed running.

Basically, I found a way to make a unit permanently invisible. This is extremely useful for story-required levels as you can have a unit just run to the end (including the final mission).

I was able to replicate this glitch multiple times on the final mission.

Make sure you're on impossible difficulty. (Just for a higher chance of a unit becoming panicked).

Have your ghost unit be one with a weak Will.

Turn 1 activate ghost and run all the way to the end where the overlook is. Have another unit stop beside them. End your turn. There is a Sectoid Commander you want to mind control your non-ghost unit. Save, and end your turn. Sometimes this happened on turn 1 and sometimes took a few reloads before they would mind control my non-ghost unit. But when my non ghost unit got mind controlled my ghost unit would become panicked. At the start of my next turn, my ghost unit would not get revealed and would remain in ghost mode for the remainder of the mission. Nothing would break me out of stealth including firing my weapon.

I was able to take this unit, sprint them to the end of the level, and kill the Uber Ethereal all while keeping my remaining units at the landing pad. Ranged attacks will never target them. However, melee units like Berserker can and will attack your ghost unit if they get into melee range.

I have no idea if the stealth will remain in effect after the mission ends since I only tried this on the final mission. I suspect it MIGHT because even during the cutscene they remained in stealth

Therio looks like you need new shoes/socks. Blisters are understandable because of the distance but people aren't complaining about blisters as much as sweat. To be fair it didnt help venue was a sweatbox at times.

Edit: You usually don't introduce yourself more than once. (Not in US anyways) There were multiple times I was talking to people I had met days ago and I couldn't remember their name to save my life.

The chairs that were used for viewers and in the practice areas were really bad. Sitting on one for over an hour almost became excruciating at times. I know that the chairs were provided by the venue so there wasn't much in the way of choice. I know there were some more chairs in the break room next to the mafia room. I'm not sure if we didn't get permission to use them or no one went well what about these chairs?

Name tags of some kind even if they are optional would be fantastic. Multiple times I would be talking to people without knowing who they were. It would also help people like mr who can't remmever a name or a handle to save my life (I can remember faces but not names easily).

To the people complaining about being sweaty from walking from the hotel or mass housing... Get over it, unless you find a way to make the temp cooler there isn't much I can reasonably see being able to be done about it. If all else fails get extra cloths and change once you get to the venue so you aren't wearing "gym cloths" all day.

Someone proposed (I think it was Pac) a way for who ever is hosting to communicate with the runner/s about if there were donations instead of having them force in or have the runner ask for donations only to be told there were none. I small light the Host could turn on and off would work fine imo. Light comes on runner knows there are donations and can tell host when a good time is.

Turn the hodt around so they are facing out on the venue this will help transitions between runs go a bit smoother.

Also how about that Dreamhack Texas Eh?
