lmao, i'm locking this thread. I hope you all find happiness
Stage RTA is kinda specialized and it doesn't seem worth tracking a bunch of graveyard leaderboards. Don't let a leaderboard stop you from running what you want though.
Funnily enough, gothic was suspicious of your run. I probably wouldn't have thought twice about it
There's not enough time in the day or anyone's lives to watch every mediocre run that gets submitted, it's more about verifiability (being able to verify the run if need be) than actually verifying the run at the time of submission.
Try to post a fake 15 next time, if you wanna expose us.
well when you make the challonge please put the details in the description rather than linking to the video
I'm just saying they should have the details in a format that's easier to reference. If i want to look up the deadlines, I shouldn't have to skip around in a youtube video. Even just editing the original post and adding the details would be better.
You should have all the tournament info in a challonge or on the google doc too, no one is trying to a watch a 3 minute video for the details.
bumping this thread cause apparently it doesn't get read enough :)
When these leaderboards were first made 90% of the existing runs didn't have video since they were from old SRL races or from the atwiki leaderboards. We didn't require video initially but it caused problems like people getting "world records" without video and not being able to check whether people actually followed the rules so we started requiring video.
Cause 10x cless probably shouldn't be a thing either, the only reason it is a thing is cause it used to be a fun dumb race category back when og cless was the only option. It wasn't meant to be a "execute consistent thing 10x quickly as possible" category, on top of that 10x bomb clip sounds boring (and yea 10x setup cannonless is also boring).
LBLJ was discovered while 16 star was the current any% route, so it doesn't break the chronology of sequence breaking. Even if it did, I'd say it's a different case from what I'm talking about here. Most importantly, no lblj 16 is already tracked, it's literally on these leaderboards. As for 31 star, 31 with LBLJ is how the japanese leaderboards did it long before this category extensions page was a thing (see: https://www31.atwiki.jp/sm64/pages/21.html), so we kept the rules consistent with how they did it. 50 star was never really speedran until recently (last two years), the idea behind it was specifically to make a "legacy" any% speedrun. Even when LBLJ was allowed on these leaderboards almost no one did 50 star LBLJ runs, so it seemed to make the most sense to ban it.
Since 50 star is intended to be somewhat of a legacy any% category, in keeping with the chronological order that glitches were found in this game, we are going to ban LBLJ and remove all runs that do or were known to do LBLJ (if there is no video anymore), sorry to those affected.
