High scores are a blank slate and are trivial. Amounts to plunging the ball and tilting 3 times over. High Scores can also be cleared.

Apologies for the lack of any activity around here. Looks like Chowzer and fourseasons are out of commission for the time being, leaving me as the sole moderator for this game. These days I haven't been paying much attention to this game, let alone speedrunning in general, now that I have a job.
I'll need some help around here verifying new submissions, and I'm even considering stepping down as mod if there are enough willing to step up. Preferably, I'm looking at those in the top spots and who are willing to spot/correct anomalies.
Thank you, everyone, for your time.
Alright, so here's what's happening:
I went ahead and added the Game Version variable for most of the runs submitted to the board, including obsoleted times, differentiating between 3D Pinball and Full Tilt. You can now filter between the two versions or leave both of them together. We can split the leaderboards through sub-categories later, if necessary.
Maelstrom is also added as a main category, as another suitable goal to aim for.
This is something I need to address with the other mods as well, since I'm not the original moderator and was brought on board, given my knowledge with both titles. I agree that the scoring differences make Full Tilt biased towards score-based runs, much like how multiball can speed up finishing missions and ranking up.
Splitting the leaderboards between 1.0 and 1.1 looks like a massive undertaking, given the amount of runs submitted. I'll test the waters with Fleet Admiral, but the rest of the categories requires some team effort, assuming we go straight into making subcategories.
I appreciate that you've brought this up -- this has been on my mind since some of my runs have also been accepted with Full Tilt in mind.
EDIT: You should also note the difference between finishing missions -- a flat 500,000 vs. a 1,000,000+ jackpot, which is much more noticeable.
Wouldn't that also fall under NG+? The rules don't specify as such and assumes you can play on a new file, with only a randomizer on the final 5 levels.
Title. I'm not certain how this factors in, considering the bonus levels in this that exist for Challenges and 100%-ing each map.
If DLC is considered a factor for in-game progress, consider doing DLC/Non-DLC for (Extreme) Grand Master.
Title. Been having this issue since I started finishing Any% runs -- does this include time spent in menus + cutscenes?
We'll see if we can get those in, though most of the Area 6 levels are based on score attack with a 5,000,000 point goal.
Careful there. I tried All Badges 100% last night, and the badge requires the TOP score on all 4 secret modes.
...I had 2 game modes I probably wasn't able to beat in a single run, much less 4.5 million on Diamond Mine.
Reset your scores before attempting this badge.
It goes both ways. The credits level acts as an "optional" level, where you can either play it or not. There's another game I run where you have a credits sequence at the end of the last quest, but have to skip it and call time at the end results screen.
The game really isn't over until the final results appear. It might make sense to call time at the end results in this case. The faster you clear the credits, the better.
Given my knowledge, the ball was in that area that registers ramp shots. My guess is that the ball was rolling too slowly to have the game register multiple ramp shots at once, and the program failed to recognize a "de-bounce" that takes this glitch into account.
This was built in a different language compared to Full Tilt! Pinball, and I'm willing to bet some issues like this in v1.0 Space Cadet (3D Pinball) are unique as opposed to v1.1 (Full Tilt!).
Not once have I seen this happen on Full Tilt! Pinball.
Requirements: Unlock and beat the Classic Maze. Cheat codes disqualify.
I'm also considering checking for the Pac-Boogie cutscene.
Should be a fun 2+ hour run.
Maelstrom is the final mode of the game, featured on ranks 8 and 9. This mode is started by filling up the lower left target bank, and is a series of objectives that must be completed one by one. By finishing that mode, completely fills up the blue lights and lights up everything for big scores. Oh, and on Full Tilt!, it throws in multiball as well.
It'd be very fitting to have this as a main category. I still have my 22:51 that was previously verified for Fleet Admiral, if it's possible.
Perfectly fine with how you play the game, and you're more than welcome to run the game at any point.
For speedrunning it doesn't have to be THAT complex to start out; Any% is just reaching and finishing 6-14 quickly, and 100% is getting all stars in Adventure, for instance.
No worries. Got to account for (almost) all the possibilities, you know?
I have 1.18 in the rules as good to use, just in case.
Hey, thanks for letting me know about this.
Strange, I'm running Version 1.20 of the game, the Kickstarter release from 2012. (Where does it say which version? In the main menu outside of the simulation?) I think in that case, either 1.18 or 1.20 is a-ok to use. But yeah, description above is accurate.
Agreed with the ban on Nitro Boosts. Either that or making subsections for With and Without. PCF is a bit trickier because for a Super, you need to go through several phases. Nitro Boost only spots one shot for progress. Passenger Frenzy allows for a Super Jackpot almost instantly and I can see the reasoning with that.
Point goals feel kind of arbitrary and would be put in the Misc section. Agreed that we can have both 500M and 1 billion as goals.
Yeah, you unlock the Wizard goals by finishing the standard ones first.
By missions, do you mean Standard/Wizard table goals?
Probably because they weren't really possible to score more than 2 million within 5 minutes -- Highway II is doable but Ch III doesn't even have a 10 minute timer.
What would be reasonable score attack runs for the DLC courses?
Why not rename the categories to just Score Goal 1 / Score Goal 2, then define the rules from there? Allows for multiple score goals especially for the DLC tracks and Championship I.
