Egyptjust finished this game yesterday, the ending was super crazy, I loved it, as for the speedrun, this one is looking like a long run, I'm not gonna be able to speedrun it any time soon but I'm interested to join the discord and seeing other people run it
taunting is gonna be #1 strat in speedruning especially for later stages, I was routing stage 13 and with the air special you can instantly kill 3 rock soldiers to clear the screen, so a "no taunt" category is a nice idea to route the game differently and be a more skill focused run
in story mode you can do a new game but keep the characters levels, so a lv0 character is much much weaker than lv10 character. a lv10 character has 3 ninja powers and extra HP, making it unfair to compare it, so either make a category rule to only allow lv10 characters which are gonna be the fastest, or split story mode to lv0 and lv10. there is potential for routing lv0 as you level up and get extra powers.
It might be better to make it at lv30 then or have 2 categories one for 30 and one for 50
I had this idea when the dlc came out to have a speedrun category for survival. The idea is to have an end goal for random survival say lv50 is good, and the run should be done on random not weekly. It would be fascinating to see some runs where you could find some insane perks or builds that get you quickly to lv50, its gonna be a category entirely pendant on rng that might not be fun for some people, kinda like binding of Isaac or Spelunky where you can get an insane run that is so quick. might limit it to lv30 only too to make the run a little shorter, think lv50 will take in average 40-60 minutes to get to. Let me know what you guys think of this idea.

I don’t like that the old runs are hidden like that, all that hard work on the old patch and they’re all hidden in the filter tab. I think its better to have it on the main board as a category, kinda like what cuphead did with their board. New people or runners checking the leaderboard would not know that there was even an old patch. I’m new to how leaderboards work, so If I’m in the wrong please correct me.
Wow, thanks a bunch major and maightybill for the testing. I tried it yesterday and yeah I think it wastes more time to set it up then to actually kill her later. It would only be worth it if a run is so optimized and you want to save more time doing it.

Can we actually replicate this and implement it in runs ? Its kinda luck dependent but possible you need to wait for her to jump and star, and it should work using other characters too. can it work with mr. y too since he jumps as well but not as much ?
