Ok so the latest patch is having weird effects on the A.I. in certain spots. Most noticeable spots are in the slums, start of Pittsburgh, the financial district fight, and winter as soon as you play as Joel. The A.I. is acting differently than they normally do and I confirmed it's because of the patch. I reinstalled the game and kept it on version 1.00 and the problems went away. It also got rid of the David door glitch in winter, which makes me think that one of the patches in the middle was the cause of this. Are we allowed to use an older version of the game to speedrun because it'd be much easier.

If an older version appears faster or in this case more comfortable to you then use it. Most speed games do this actually when bugs get patched.

I will however say that for the future progression and health of the game only two versions should ever be allowed:

1. Original release (1.00) aka you need the disc
2. Latest 1.07 run via disc or PSN digital

The reason for this is if someone new comes along in say a month from now that doesn't have the game yet, they cannot gain access to the pre 1.7 patches and that leads to a very weird state of affairs.

Obviously we keep the current runs but in the future people should consider changing if they want a level playing field for all.

As of 30th November 2023, *New Game* runs for The Last of Us/The Last of Us: Remastered *must* use default skins and are not allowed to have activated costum skins/backpacks/etc.

We found out that costum skins potentially change the appearances of soundglitches, which also influences the loadtimes.
