ruling on using turbo functionality? doesn't say you can/can't currently. easy to setup on all types of methods and even on real cartridge could use turbo gamecube controller off a gameboy player. regardless it doesn't matter to me if it is or isn't allowed but I would say if it was allowed it may bring more people to speedrun. mashing thousands of text boxes isn't really fun and most people probably burn out after 3 runs of mashing. could be a separate category as well.
Turbo controllers or such with non-native functions are disallowed by default unless specified otherwise in a game's rules.
There isn't a huge interest in the run to begin with I doubt allowing turbo would change that. If there are other people who would like this I would maybe consider looking into it then.
